Mail carrier robbed while on postal route in Grand Crossing CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a postal carrier was robbed in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood, according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.Authorities say the mail carrier was robbed on Saturday while on their route near East 78th Street and South St. Lawrence Avenue. Video shows postal carrier robbed at gunpoint on West Side Officials from the Postal Inspection Service say the mail carrier was held up by someone who was carrying a weapon and demanded postal property before fleeing the scene.
