Four SF men charged in June fatal shooting in lower Haight

(BCN) -- Four men have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in San Francisco's Lower Haight neighborhood in June, according to prosecutors. The suspects, Jeremiah Fisher, 28, Deniro Gulley, 24, Jamaree Willis, 21, and Chase Goodspeed-Taylor, 25, were indicted on murder and gun charges on Thursday. They pleaded not guilty to the raps against them, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office said in a statement.A 25-year-old man died in the shooting reported at 7:08 p.m. on June 5 in the 400 block of Rose Street. He was identified as Yeurra Blaylock III, according to the city's Medical Examiner's Office. (BCN) -- The bodies of a man and woman were found in a Fremont waterway Sunday, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.Deputies were called to a riverbed near the 1300 block of Old Canyon Road around 3:15 p.m. on a report of two dead bodies.A man and a woman were retrieved from the water, but no identification for either person was located, the Sheriff's Office said.The cause and manner of their deaths will be determined by the medical examiner and this is an ongoing investigation.Copyright © 2023 Bay City News, Inc.Armed robbers raid Noe Valley donut shop, steal ATM

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A San Francisco shop worker is shaken up after armed robbers barged into her store and took cash from the cash register, employees and an ATM.Monday morning’s armed robbery happened at Happy Donuts in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood. No one was hurt, but the shop’s owner is now considering some changes in response to the crime.Happy Donuts has cameras inside that captured the terrifying moments when employees got robbed at gunpoint. Two Maryland men, including a Department of Defense employee, have been charged with facilitating a dogfighting ring in Anne Arundel County.Frederick “Fred” Douglass Moorefield Jr., of Arnold and Mario Damon Flythe, 62, of Glen Burnie are charged with “promoting and furthering animal fighting venture.” Moorefield has been Deputy Chief Information Officer for Command, Control, and Communications, for Office of the Secretary of Defense since March 2020, according his LinkedIn page and the U.S. Defense Department.According to an affidavit filed in support of the Sept. 21 criminal complaint, Moorefield (using the name “Geehad Kennels”) and Flythe (using the name “Razor Sharp Kennels”) used encrypted messaging to discuss dogfighting with others across the U.S.They discussed topics including animal deaths, betting, coordinating fights and training — and how to hide it, according to the affidavit.
