Minnesota United’s club-worst home start deepens with scoreless draw with Dallas

Minnesota United and FC Dallas played to a scoreless first half on Sunday, but there was one firework during the opening 45 minutes at Allianz Field.Apple TV commentator Taylor Twellman shared midfielder Emanuel Reynoso nearly got on flight from Argentina. The Pioneer Press can confirm the MLS All-Star gave MNUFC tangible belief he was going to end his holdout in mid-April, but Reynoso did not follow through. After not reporting to preseason camp in January, what became a tease from Reynoso two weeks ago was deflating and further damaged the relationship.Welp, that firework ends up a dud because, of course, the Loons remain without their creating attacking midfielder. The Loons and Dallas played to a scoreless draw.Minnesota (3-3-3, 12 points) is winless in St. Paul and has dropped seven points from winning positions this season.Sang Bin Jeong had his third straight quiet game filling in for Reynoso as the No. 10. National American Postal Union protests Republican Assembly Minority Leader of the 120th District, William Barclay, says increasing the minimum wage will not help workers in the long term. SF Giants’ Alex Cobb reaches strikeout milestone vs. Padres: ‘I’ll remember that one’

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 06:54:19 GMT

MEXICO CITY — Alex Cobb remembers his first. And, after reaching a meaningful milestone Sunday against the Padres, he won’t forget his thousandth, either. With a nasty knuckle curve, Cobb got San Diego shortstop Xander Bogaerts swinging for strike three, his seventh strikeout of the game and the final out of the fifth inning. Twelve years since he punched out his first batter, he did it for the 1,000th time of his career.“It does mean a lot,” Cobb said. “It’s a lot of years, a lot of work that’s been put into that. It’s an arbitrary number but it looks really pretty and it’s just a moment to look back and reflect.”Cobb became the 544th player to reach that pretty, arbitrary number, which might sound like a lot. But it’s a fraction of the thousands of arms to throw a major-league pitch over the past 146 years. And for him, it came after the Giants and weighted-ball work helped him, in his mid-30s, throw harder than ever before and rediscover the suc...

Y esa elección es Biden”.Sanders, que se alinea con los demócratas en el Senado, respaldó la candidatura de reelección de Biden la semana pasada, y es probable que el presidente disfrute de un camino fácil hacia la nominación demócrata de 2024.
